As a kid, I grew up in the midwest, lived in Italy for a few years, fell in love with nature, family life, & travelling, and knew that someday I would live out West. My family and I have lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for 20 years. This is a special community made up of abundant wildlife, beautiful landscapes, outdoor activities, volunteer opportunities, and most importantly ... the people.
I have alway been curious in creating art. Years ago, I began journaling, sketching and creating small watercolor paintings during our family outings. In 2004, I entered a watercolor painting of a porcupine that was chosen as the poster for the Murie Center's Spring Art Festival. Then I backed off painting for about 10 years as my wife and I raised our 3 kiddos. Then one cold, dark evening in the winter, I discovered the bright bold colors of acrylics paints. I began creating colorful fall paintings with a palette knife and lately I've been painting wildlife with crazy backgrounds with a paintbrush. In 2017 my daughter, Taylor Woods, signed me up for my first two art exhibits and helped me create Cabin Fever Art Creations. I want to thank her and the folks at Pearl Street Bagels and Snake River Brew Pub for giving me my artistic start.
